Karman Korner Resale Shop Patients at Judith Karman Hospice never receive a bill for services that we provide. But insurance and Medicare reimbursement do not cover the entire cost of patient care. To compensate, in 1994, the hospice used a $15,000 gift of stock to finance the opening of Karman Korner Resale Shop.
Staffed entirely by volunteers, this premier resale shop in the heart of downtown Stillwater takes donations of clothing, furniture and household goods and sells them to the public. Located at 915 S. Main, the venture has been so successful that, in July of 2005, proceeds from the shop purchased 14.8 acres of land on which the hospice will build its in-patient hospice house.
Volunteer: Join our wonderful family of volunteers who sort donations, steam and ready garments for sale, price merchandise, create displays, man the cash register and have a great time doing it!
Donate: When you clean out your closets and cabinets, think of us first! We accept all kinds of clothing and household goods between the hours of 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. All donations are tax deductible and receipts are provided.
Shop: You just never know what you’ll find when you shop at Karman Korner, from top quality designer clothing and accessories to valuable collectibles, all at very reasonable prices. Store hours are Tues.-Fri. 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturdays.
